STOMANA INDUSTRY became a member of SIDENOR Group in 2001, having completed a successful 50-year business course as a leader of the steel industry in Bulgaria.

STOMANA INDUSTRY’s facilities include a scrap preparation unit, a meltshop, a long products’ Rolling mill, a plate products’ Rolling mill, as well as a steel ball mill. The plant of STOMANA INDUSTRY manufactures steel products that meet the requirements of even the strictest international specifications such as EN, DIN, ASTM, JIS, BS, Lloyd’s Register and Germanischer Lloyd.

Immediately following the acquisition of STOMANA INDUSTRY, SIDENOR Group planned and implemented an extensive investment plan to upgrade the mechanical equipment, modernise the facilities, restructure the operations and increase the plant’s production capacity. The main reference point of the upgrade efforts of this unit was the beginning of operations of the new state-of-the-art long products’ Rolling mill in 2008, which increased STOMANA INDUSTRY’s annual production capacity by 800,000 tons.
